Earthquake in Singapore
When we got home at after 6 pm from buying groceries at the mall, I thought that I was feeling very dizzy from bending down to put the canned goods in the cabinet. I told hubby about it and he said I might be have a low blood pressure.
But he felt a bit dizzy or something also…thenĀ we realized that there’s an earthquake going on and that was not a small one. It lasted for a good couple of minutes and boy was I scared. We are in the 22nd floor and if we would have to go down … but thank goodness it did stop.
We tuned in to the television right away to see if they are aware of what was happening but niks, zero, nada! NO Breaking news about it. What we did saw is that there was a 7.6-magnitude earthquake off Sumatra, and it was the tremors that we were feeling here in Singapore which was also felt in Malaysia.
Anyhoo, on the lighter note, it’s actually 1:30 in the morning here and I don’t know why I cannot sleep yet. So while waiting to get sleepy I will just busy my self with directory submissions and do some updating some of my blogs as well (which I haven’t done for awhile).
UPDATE: There’s been another tremor at 9:50 today, October 1, 2009. And they still expect a stronger one with a magnitude of 8.9 any time soon and that means things would be moving around the house.

I felt a little dizzy at one point today too but I’m not sure if it was because of this.

Hi Jade!
It seems that mother nature is in the mood to bring havoc anywhere and everywhere. But with great faith in God, we can get over it. It’s a comforting thought that you are safe over there.
Take care!
