WS: Recession… not at the Singapore IT Show

This weekend we checked out the I.T. Show in Suntec City, Singapore. We were shocked to see the huge crowd.
We literally felt like ants in the crowd. People young and old, men and women and even infants were there.
According to the The Strait Times newspaper, about 768,000 people visted the 4 day show. And the sales hit $58.5 million surpassing last year earnings of $ 54.5 million.

I was there on Opening day and then on Saturday. I went away empty handed. It’s madness!
No parking lots! No seats to rest tired feet. Walking was impossible. Citylink was blocked. arghhhh

@ eastcoastlife – Hey Saturday – we missed each other, I was there too in the afternoon. What we always do when we know it could be difficult to dind parking like on weekends is park at Bugis area and take the MRT to city hall.

@ sassy mom – yes the companies lowered their prices alot;) Some people were really waiting for this. Dang…if I have know about this – wouldn’t have bought my phone weeks ago, I could have gotten some extra stuff. Oh well…

Wow! What a crowd drawer, miss going to Tech Fairs like this, used to go often in M’sia. Who says the economic crunch is getting worse, look at these guys who couldn’t wait to grab their new toy gadget.
