I am so happy to know that EfrenPeñaflorida, a Filipino teacher won the 2009 CNN Hero of the Year award.
He chose education over gang life in Cavite City Philippines and promised himself that he would create a way for other children to make the same choice he did.
I feel so happy to know that there are other people in my homeland who are trying to be the change we want to see in our country.
