Georgetown Penang Malaysia
Our trip didn’t exactly started right because I made a mistake. When I check for our departure time the evening before, I saw the arrival time instead. Our departure was actually at 8:05 but what I had in mind is 9:30. We didn’t found out till we arrived at the airport and saw that the gate is already closed. I was so angry, at myself mostly.
We were incredibly late, good thing a kind ground steward from Singapore Airlines ( I think his name is Heder ) helped us get to our flight. We didn’t have a very big luggage so we can just bring it with us otherwise we will get it in the evening. So the ground steward said we must run, the plane will leave otherwise if we are not there in a matter of minutes. I can imagine my hubby cursing in his mind
I was also cursing myself. Really really stupid to overlook this very important detail.
Anyway,we made it in time! We arrived in Penang Malaysia at around 10 am and the weather was wonderful! We went to our hotel and left our luggage for the meantime as their check in time is at 2pm. We stayed at a very simple and straightforward hotel – literally just a place to sleep.
Penang is known for their hawker foods ( street food ) and we were really curious if it would impress us as Singapore food did. So after we left our lugggage into safety we headed out to have a Penang breakfast.
A couple of meters away from our hotel, we saw these coffee shop. We ordered some coffee and I decided to try this pancake.

And boy that pancake was delicious! I am sure we would all need fat burner when we get back from this trip. It’s actually a banana pancake which I never had before….after tasting this we wanted to taste more of the food in Penang.
Watch out for more post on Penang!
