Imelda Marcos: The Queen of Shoes is broke?

I recently read an article on Imelda Marcos here in Singapore. She said she’s broke…really. And yet she was wearing an eye blinding I-dunno-how-many carats diamond ring!
My goolash! If she’s broke living like that I don’t know what you would call somebody who wakes up and don’t know if he or she is gonna eat today.
It’s outrageous how many shoes this woman had and I wonder if she ever wore each and every piece she had. Did she also own some Dansko shoes? I am not really a fan of her but I think it would be interesting to see her collection some day.
While reading this article, makes me wonder where is this woman coming from? It is as if she has her own sense of reality.
