Preparing for the Holiday Weight!
Being home bound for a couple of days now, I couldn’t help but daydream. I was thinking of holidays already…
Do you feel like eating more during the cold season? You’re not alone. Sure, it’s summer and there’s ample time to lose the pounds while it’s hot and sunny, and it’s quite refreshing to go outside and exercise. However, I can’t help but dread the coming holiday months when all we can do at home is eat chocolates (they seem to taste better when the weather is cold, don’t you think?), drink hot cocoa and sleep all day. Yep, it’s a time when even the most hardy gym goer would rather sit it out and eat rather than go out and exercise!
Now, this isn’t a post to make you feel more anxious about the coming holidays. Besides buying diet products like Phenphedrine, let’s try to find out what other steps we can take to make sure we’re not heavier by spring next year. Maybe it takes just a little effort and planning on our part to get the job done. After all, wouldn’t you want to keep your figure so you’ll fit inside all the clothes you will shop for during the Christmas Bazaar season?
Ok, so let’s get to it. We know that the Holiday season is the time for tons of sugary treats to hit the market, so the first thing we must do is to make sure we stick to our grocery lists whenever we go shopping for supplies. Next, we can wrap chocolates and put names of our godchildren, nephews and nieces on them to prevent us from eating pieces of chocolates ‘accidentally’.
And of course, the best advice of all, eat before you party. Small, healthy snacks can actually prevent you from eating a lot of hors d’ouvres in the parties we attend. Eating snacks before big meals can also help prevent over eating.
So that’s it! If we can concentrate on maintaining our weight until Summer next year (when it’s easier to exercise outdoors), we can maintain our body size all year long.
