Did you know I was Dutch too ? Yes I am and today is our Queen’s day or Koninginnedag so I thought of dressing up my blog to celebrate it.
This is the Queen’s day and also a day in The Netherlands where almost everybody wears orange or have something orange 
. Sadly I don’t have any picture of my own wearing orange.
On this day whole country comes alive with parades, live music on the street, flea-market activity where everybody and anybody can sell their old stuff on the street.
Our queen Beatrix is now 71 years old but is still looking fab!

I am sorry if I appear rude but I didn’t even realize that Holland had a royal family. If your photo is a recent one then Queen Beatrix looks absolutely marvelous for her age and may she rule for many more years. A quick wikipedia search tells me that Queen Beatrix came to the throne in 1980 after her mother Queen Juliana abdicated. Wiki also has a photo of your Queen that was taken in 2008 and she looks absolutely wonderful in that picture as well. Have a good of celebration.

That picture was taken last year too. Looks like she will be there for awhile. Long live the Queen Beatrix!

Jade, I am a little confused , your blog header says a Filipina expat wife living in Singapore , then I read a post that says you are moving back to the country in the Philipines and then this post says you are in the Netherlands and are Dutch and then on Martyn ‘s blog review for Arril , he said you were living in Holland . Can you set me straight on all this as it has my little brain reeling ha ha Malcolm
