Visiting Finland?

If you are going to Finland I suggest you search for a majoitus before you go as you don’t want to be looking around for a place to stay where not many people speak English. But I must say, even though communication is quite difficult, you would find Finnish people to be very friendly.

I have been to Finland once to help out my brother- in- law build a house. I was  very excited to go there as that was my second trip within the EU countries. We stayed for a day in Helsinki.

It was a sort of work vacation for us. Well, we really didn’t got paid or anything but we did it just for fun and to help him out. We went to Saimaa, it’s a four hour drive from Helsinki. We stayed in a Mökki. It’s an house built with tree trunks. A mökki normally has a traditional Finnish sauna, a barbecue area, and is usually nearby a lake where you could easily take a dive or explore the lake with a canoe.

It’s so wonderful to be so close to nature. If you want to visit Finland stay in a Hotelli for a day or two but make sure you explore the surroundings.
